Plying their own distinct breed of art-punk - taking in fleet-footed guitar and drum motifs, bite-and bark vocals and popping electronics - Speedy Wunderground’s The Lounge Society have made quite the reputation for themselves in their shorttime together.
After releasing their debut EP, ‘Silk For TheStarving’, to universal acclaim in 2021 (“TheLounge Society have the world at their feet”-NME) the band toured extensively throughout the UK performing sold-out, enthralling headline shows across the country, before taking their first steps onto European festival stages.
This autumn, the Hebden Bridge outfit hit the roadagain, playing the biggest shows of their career in support of their very first long player, ‘Tired of Liberty’, their highly anticipated debut album, produced by Speedy Wunderground boss andrevered producer Dan Carey (Wet Leg, KaeTempest, Fontaines D.C.).
