Holding Onto Strings Better Left to Fray was originally released on May 17, 2011, marking Seether's fifth studio album, and it was later certified Gold. Produced by Brendan O’Brien, known for his work with Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, and Bruce Springsteen, the album debuted at No. 2 in the US on the Billboard 200 while topping both the Alternative Albums and Hard Rock Albums charts. The multi-Platinum lead single, Country Song, became a major hit, reaching No. 1 on the US Rock Songs chart and No. 12 on the Alternative Songs chart. In addition to Country Song, tracks like Tonight, Here and Now, and No Resolution were released as singles. The album is often regarded as a pivotal moment in Seether’s career, showcasing their ability to innovate while staying true to their signature sound. Driven by four hit singles, the album continues to resonate with fans, amassing over 250 million streams to date. Notably, this marks the first time the album has been released on vinyl.
