SMASH debut by the undisputed kings of Staten Island Afro-funk and Soul, now that the Budos are bonafide Daptone heavyweights - There's not much to say about this record, other than if you don't own it you have a serious hole in your soul. Before the release of this LP the Budos had already made these tracks famous in their EPIC live performances. Dig on the studio versions of such anthems as "Up From the South" and "The Proposition". This is Afro-funk perfection!
