Simon McBride has swiftly become one of the most celebrated
guitarists of recent years, stepping into the spotlight as Deep
Purple’s guitarist in 2023.
His debut with the legendary band has been nothing short of
extraordinary, marked by his contribution to their critically
acclaimed latest studio album, =1.
In a story that feels like it was plucked from a rock-and-roll dream,
Simon’s journey took him from the challenges faced by many
musicians of his generation to a whirlwind of success.
Within weeks, he found himself gracing the covers of over 20 major
music magazines and celebrating his first #1 positions on the
German and Swedish album sales charts, alongside numerous Top
10 entries around the world.
Amidst his busy schedule, Simon recorded various sessions at
Hamburg’s renowned Chameleon Studios with his trio.
While some of these recordings have been available digitally, this
collection marks the first physical release for all of the tracks,
including stunning renditions of Duran Duran’s Ordinary World and
Mr. Mister’s Uniform of Youth.
